Mr. KALIMBA Daniel
At K.Daniel &Freedom Advocates, Daniel KALIMBA is a Managing partner and a founder of K. Daniel & Freedom Advocates ❨KDFA❩ a corporate law firm, effectively manage and work alongside attorneys, administrative assistants fellow legal assistants on complex cases and legal processes. He holds bachelor of law ❨LLB❩ from former National University of Rwanda ❨NUR❩ in 2012 now University of Rwanda ❨UR❩ and Master’s degree ❨LLM❩ in Business law. He holds a Diploma for legal practice from the Institute of legal practice and Development in 2015.
He is also a member of Rwanda Bar Association and a member of East African law Society and He is on the board of East African Law Society for Business and Human rights.
He is a certified arbitrator and registered member of Kigali International Arbitration Centre ❨KIAC❩ on list of a Domestic arbitrators and registered member of chartered Institute of London, UK, since 2020 representing clients before arbitration tribunal and acting a private Judge on the bench of arbitration tribunal when appointed.
He provides legal advice and solutions on commercial transaction challenges for big companies in commercial disputes related to construction, banking, Mining and Transport companies for national and international level among others for business safeguarding.
He has experience on aspects of contract law, securities law, and labour and corporate litigation as well as commercial issues and criminal law. In Labor law cases he has been Representing and assisting many clients before administrative entities, as well as Court of law, providing legal advice to the clients about labor laws, providing the advice on social and employment matters.
He associated with different law firms; Fountain Advocates and Rukangira Law Chambers ❨RLC❩ before he founds KDFA and represented clients in many commercial transactions; company, trademark registrations, insolvency, mergers, acquisitions, liquidation and litigation on behalf of law firms in the last nine ❨9❩ years’ experience.
He worked with the Office of the Ombudsman in 2012 providing legal advice on cases regarding injustice for revision and worked with World Vision Rwanda an international non-Governmental Organization providing legal advice concerning child rights and giving legal solutions related child right challenges in vulnerable families in 2013.
